Like the title says I'm trying to mount the heater controls in cab but I'm not sure what size bolt..or what kind of bolt is used to mount the thing.

Can someone tell me how the heater control is normally mounted in the dash...thanks.

From what I can tell I need a screw...or bolt that goes head side on the front of the dash and screws into the heater control unit. I just don't know if I'm supposed to put a washer and nut on the backside of the heater unit or just have a regular screw.

Any help..pics anything would help thanks.

They were a star head screw. No washer. Same kind of bolts that hold the filler piece under the coloumn only longer. Kind a specific screw.

I believe the two screws have 1/4-20 threads, and are about 3/4" long. They are Phillips head type. They pass through the lower edge of the dash from the front and thread right into the heater controls. I don't believe there are any washers or nuts used.

Try going to www.mcmaster.com and enter in part number 90272A540. If you have an Ace Hardware in your town, you could probably buy this style of screw there, maybe even in stainless steel.
