Here in kelowna B.C. it's 87 cents per litre that's 3.91 per gallon that sucks and more than likely the oil comes out of the ground from here. I had a thought if the oil in the ground belong to the goverment which is the people, why are we paying almost 4 bucks a gallon to pump it out of the ground

the key to a good boycott is organization and numbers ..... get the word out ...have people dedicate themselves to driving not at all or only when completely nessasary ...... people seem to forget that they have the power NOT THESE HUGE OIL COMPANIES !!!!!

We got caught in a boycott whilst on holiday in France two years ago. Farmers blockaded all the oil depots and wouldn't let any trucks in or out. It was chaos with no fuel anywhere, so made for an interesting holiday, especially as the house we had rented used a generator for power and lights! It ended in time for us to drive home, and as we arrived back there was the same thing going on in the UK! We limped home with a tankfull of sludge from a french gas station giving us the occasional hiccups and stopping wherever we could find fuel.

The French government caved in and reduced the tax on diesel and petrol, the British government said *** you and ignored the chaos completely...go figure! direct action sometimes works, but the problem in the UK is 85% of fuel price is tax so it's the government not the oil companies making the money.

Cheap stuff & Good stuff

By the way, what's this talk about cheap and good stuff?
We in the Netherlands have 3 different kinds of gasoline:
95 octane (Unleaded)
98 octane (Unleaded)
98 octane (Leaded, well not really lead, but that stuff which is supposed to be good for the enviroment)
(Shell also sells stuff that's called ' Pura', I believe that's also 95 octane.)
Now my truck will not run on 95 octane, I will have to go with 98.
(Normally I run on LPG, which is a lot cheaper)
How come you guys can run the trucks on 91 or even 87 octane?

Cya,
Edmond

$1.93 for the cheap stuff here. The hell of it is there are three refieries in town so the shipping should be low and we are surrounded by the oil fields so that should also be cheaper for us in an oil town. go figure joker
