Another gas tank question

I have this tank....

IIRC.. was a spare when I had a 72 c20.

Neighbor pulled out of the field a 67 Chevy C10 4x4 w/a dump bed. It's in rough shape but wants to get it usable for around the farm. It has no gas tank.

I've searched/read about EEC tanks, fumes and such. He does not care about gas fumes in his barn. A new sending unit will be needed.

Can we get my tank to work in his 67?

Thanks much...don t. ....

Measure the hole in the body. I think the 72 is a different size.

Re: Another gas tank question

All the body holes are the same size but there are 1 1/2 and 2 inch filler necks on the tanks. Get the proper grommet for the tank filler and your good to go.

Re: Another gas tank question

Just plug the vapor line at the tank. I'd use something permanent like JB Weld to attach the plug. You really don't want to smell gas fumes while driving around. Just be sure and use a vented cap.
