Floor jack rebuild Milwaulkee model 20

I picked the jack up for $10 years ago and ordered a seal kit for it ($42), which promptly disappeared. My Asian jack stopped holding and sometime after the seal kit reappeared after hiding on the shelf for years. From the look of things the jack had never been apart, and it leaked bad didn't move. A snap ring may have popped off at some pint and allowed one of the pad alignment bars to jam and got bent a bit, but the BFH flattened it. I got a roll pin and snap ring from NAPA but they usually don't charge me for such small parts.

I spent many hours degreasing and derusting a few parts on the jack while being paranoid that I'd put it back together wrong. It was actually pretty easy to put things back together right. This wasn't a cosmetic rebuild so it looks the same as before.

I found some cracked welds and unfortunately, me and the welder ($20) didn't pay enough attention to getting things lined up right so the jack is a bit crooked now. Crap. I'm mulling over grinding the welds and straightening it but I expect it'll be a pain.

The good news is it works perfectly and I have a quality vintage jack for $72 spent many years ago plus a few hours labor.

I didn't take pics since I have no hosting account.
