Upper Radiator Hose/Dirty Dingo Clearance

I have an LS truck water pump, LS truck upper hose, and a radiator with a driver side inlet and it's been working fine but I just added a Dirty Dingo A/C bracket and compressor and the hose is touching the belt. Has anyone found a hose that works for this setup? I've been searching online for hours for a molded hose, flexible hose, fittings, etc. and just haven't found anything right yet. I wanted to check here before I go to Napa and look through their hose collection.

MD...hey!! I am running a similar setup ('13 genIV) I built a bracket that bolts to the core support and "holds/lifts" the hose about an 1" -1.5" where you have the loom. it helped, but the hose still is a little close for my comfort. the few people I have talked to said " oohh I just had a custom SS hose made".... most instances are a different setup (gen1-3) waterneck outlet is positioned different. if you want I can take a picture of my setup for reference... just let me know

oohh... I also shortened the hose a bit at the WP outlet to "draw" it towards the center of the engine more - away from the belt.

Thanks for the response! I'm going to try shortening it first. It's kind of a rare setup apparently - most guys have the inlet/outlet on the passenger side and/or have an LS3 water pump. I have hopes that shortening it will hold it away from the belt enough.

Just thought and I may be all wet but it means a splice in your existing hose. In the area of the plastic hose cover take a chunk out of that area. Then rotate the hose on the water pump so the it clears the belt. Then to make it a bit cleaner near the air intake buy a generic 90 degree hose without the dog leg in the hose. Splice it into existing hose.
You can buy splices but I just use exhaust tubing of the correct size welding a bead around the tube on both ends.so the hose can't blow off.

And we have Plan B! I'm not creative enough to think of solutions like this.

I can't even follow plan "b"... LOL!!! I have fitted a hummer hose as well, but the engine cover does not fit (gen IV cover). I do not know what hose info yet, but can find out.

You could make a sheet metal hose cradle/shield that bolts to the alternator / engine that holds the hose off of the belt and would act like a shield if the belt fails.....

it looks like they deigned the brackets for the LS3 water pumps but for truck balance spacing?

side note, if you happen to have a ruler, time and the space to measure center to center of the dirty dingo belt tensioner. (center of the bolt to the center of the pulley installed on the tensioner...

Pretty sure its a F-250 belt tesioner, but cannot find the length, center to center. its for another project

Gates has a hose catalog with pictures of the hoses. Its organized based on hose I.D. and then length. When I do my coolant those builds, I look at the catalog and can gauge what will probably work out based on the shape shown in the picture. Ive not been let down once

So you're telling me my GMC has a FORD part on it?!

I'm afraid you're probably right. It measures 3-5/8" from the center of the bolt to center of the square hole. It even has the two nubs on the back of it.

P.S. I saw the "A poor man buys it twice" in your signature years ago and it's stuck with me to this day, but yet I still don't follow that advice sometimes. For instance, on this truck, I first reworked the engine/trans harness, then bought what I thought was an above average chinese harness, I just installed a BP Automotive harness and I can say the chinese harness doesn't come close to the quality of the BP harness. Same mistakes on radiator and fans.
