I like it.

Seems reasonably priced.

I'm not a fan of LS swaps but you may be. As the previous poster said if its a factory sb, then its a buy. I think my next one may be a 4x4 too. Good luck to you.

Re: Is this truck worth the price??

If the vin numbers on the frame, vin tag & spid sheet all match and it's a solid truck, I would say yes.

If it's a rot box, the vin numbers don't match or the frame was a long box and shortened then I'd say no !

Re: Is this truck worth the price??

He said something about a gears matching t-case. Not sure on calipers, Not sure on e-brake.

What should I look for to see if it was a longbed that has been shortened?

Re: Is this truck worth the price??

No way in hell would I pay that much for that truck.

Am I the only one that sees the front axles seam to be forward? Something wrong here, either wrong frame or something else.

Dana 60's, non-correct brakes, 4:11? Sounds like this was someones mudding truck years ago. rode hard and put up wet.

For $7,500 you can find better.

Re: Is this truck worth the price??

I agree with Gary. The front looks like its been tweeked, the bumper looks higher on the drivers side. I would offer a little less.

That thing looks like it's got trouble written all over it. The wheel base looks off compared to the body for sure.

Re: Is this truck worth the price??

The front tires are turned slightly to the right, so this might be why it looks the way it does. I would bring a tape measure and poke around a bit. Check the toe and check the thrust angle. Ask the seller to drive it in a straight line and stand behind it to see if it crab legs down the road.

The add says 70 but it has 71 72 grill not 70. I would definitely check it out good before signing the check.

Re: Is this truck worth the price??

the grill is from a 71-72, the K10's didn't come with 8 lug axles, those have been changed, truck looks a little rough, if you don't care if it is stock or not then it may be a decent deal, if in fact it does have a Dana 60 in the front, that alone is worth atleast $1500.00.nice having heavy duty running gear!...let us know if you get it or not.......

Re: Is this truck worth the price??

I've seen lwb c20 trucks cut down, LS converts going for this much, and no better quality. Is it the 4x4 part that you guys don't like? I'm just asking, not trolling.

I'm assuming the 4 speed is what came in it originally. With 4.11 gears and no OD then how much is that LS 5.3 going to benefit you. Looks like a lot of work still left to do.

Smile Re: Is this truck worth the price??

8 bolt wheels...on a swb, 1/2ton, 4x4...something big changed out there underneath the truck.
Probably put a '72 swb upper chassis on a 70's (80's?) frame and running gear.
So what you would be buying is a variety of trucks here...remember that plays into the value because it's unlikely someone will ever pay more for that combo'.

Let's back up a bit....what do you actually want?...what's your style and your 3 1-3 driving target?

I don't get it - you need overdrive to see the benefits of LS technology?

Re: Is this truck worth the price??

Looks like a $7500 project to me. Some oddities - I agree it looks like an old mud truck. Has potential at $5500.

Re: Is this truck worth the price??

Go check it out if it drives good especially at hwy speeds and the rust ain't too bad Find if it's a cut down k20 newer frame stock frame what if it's a stock k10 with updated axles and a LS you are probably not too far off.

Re: Is this truck worth the price??

Looks to me like both front fenders have been cut for bigger tires. Probably has been mudded, frame could very well been tweaked.

Re: Is this truck worth the price??

No it's not. That is a pieced together truck. You can find a way better truck for $7500. Not only would I walk away...I'd run.
