Happy Meal's Rolling Resto

OK, Here we go,1961 Chevy Apache 10 bought a few weeks ago from Craigslist.
My Goal is to make it a daily driver, with other mods to come:
1. Power disc brakes (front),
2. 700r4 (city driving, more convenient)
3. stroke out the 350 to a 383..
4. Complete electrical rewiring
5. Remove and replace rusted/bondoed holes
6. upgrade any worn parts to OEM or better
7. 2 1/2' (fwd) 3" (rear) drop
8. Power steering is a must...
9. Finally Flat black Paint...

Here are some Progress pics over the last week or two...
First picked it up:

Inspecting the Rusted out areas:

Removing the F$%&*ng Bed ( 8-10 hours of work, every damn bolt was so corroded i prayed that they would all shear when i tried to loosen them, i was not so lucky, had to drill out all of the fender bolts:

Cleaning up the rear end, layers of old diff oil mixed with dirt and sand, 4-5 hours of work to remove, prep and prime:

New Adjustable Track arm:

More to come, waiting for the rear shocks, drop coils to come in from Eckler's, the only reason i ordered from them is because i thought i would get my parts faster cause they are only a few hours away,,, well i was wrong... way too slow in my opinion, i dont plan on getting anything from there unless i have to..

Installed CPP lowered springs and shocks.

Re: Happy Meal's Rolling Resto

Replacing the U-Joints and carrier bearings are a pain in the ass.
