Re: Picture Thread:Golden Era Customs

You know, I have never understood the attraction to spot lights on customs. Singles or duals. Dummys or working ones. That used to be used a lot in the 50s and 60s.

He has a good eye for clean & simple style, I can see. That's my favorite from what I've shown. But I am a mild custom kinda guy after all.

You couyld say that again! ??? I could say the same... If I thought about it . That was where it was at when I was building car models. Tilted teardrops, man . I dunno, were all the tear drops dummies or were there actually functionable lights made in tear drop? It IS a way to add another 'set' of Dagmars (If you catch my drift. So a '55 Caddy Custom could potentially be rollin' with three sets )

Have about the job done on this torpedo back?

Ok, maybe later. It seems the "attach files" feature ain't happ'nin right now.

Re: Picture Thread:Golden Era Customs

I read somewhere that the popularity of the spot light came from speed boats. The tail dragging stance came from them as well.I don't know how true this is.

Now there's a car better off unchanged. GM built one of the finest factory custom cars when they did the original Riviera.
