Who made the distributor and what's in the bags? Not to rain on your parade, but I wouldn't get anything short of American-made MSD stuff. Are the plug wires spiral wound? Wires like the MSD Heli-Cores are definitley worth the investment, and infinitley better than Accel carbon wires.

I also prefer the Msd stuff.......but have run several sets of the Accel wires without a problem! my longhorn has accel spiral core wires on it........not even a 'hiccup" to 7200 revs!

If that's a Summit distributor, better buy an extra ignition control module. Mine burned with less than 2K miles on it.

to me that looks like a proform dizzy, im very impressed with it myself i have had one for a couple years now since they first came out and i love it. it hass seent he better side of 7 grand and never even hiccuped. no probs whatsoever. better mpg than the stock unit also

Yes the disrtibutor is a Proform. The items in the bags are a HEI power pigtail from summit and a chrom distributor hold down. The wires are ACCEL Spiral Core wires.

Paid $1200; sold for $1500 a few years later. Just a hint at the appreciation that was coming. Retired as a factory automation products salesman. Worked part-time over the years for an engine builder and a classic car repair shop. Member here for 23 years! This is the very first car/truck Internet forum I joined. I still used a dial-up modem back then!
