You really are progressing so well man.

If I were closer, I suspect I would pitch in with a day or two to give you those extra hands we can all do with some times.

Your thread is another one I check in on daily.

You continue to make me grin madly with your progress.

Thanks Dale, I should have it going soon as this weekend I'm planning on solving my driveshaft dilemma. The yoke I got didn't match with my u joints so I'm just going to bring a hack saw to the yard and cut off the front end of a driveshaft so the driveshaft yoke, ujoint and slip yoke all match up and if I need to buy new ujoint I just have to ask for one from whatever vehicle I took it from.

Made a run out to picknpull this morning and got a couple different things. One was these Cadillac seat belt buckles for the tailgate latches just like on the Persh trucks website

Re: A 15 year old's project. Rusty 62 stepside

I also Did some more work on the t5 install. I went to picknpull today because I previously bought the wrong slip yoke. Instead of searching online and paying big bucks I just pulled a camaro driveshaft from the yard that was the same 2.5'' diameter as mine and cut off the front end so that when I get it shortened I can get them to put on the front portion from the camaro. Also when I go to buy ujoints I just have to tell them it's an 86 Camaro. I also pulled the license plate bracket from the camaro as well. It's on a hindge and has a spring that locks in the open and closed position. That how I'm going to fill the gas tank.

Great work Nik. I admire your "work with what you have" attitude. You don't just order parts from a catalog.

Thanks Dale, it just kinda clicked in my head that even if all these aftermarket parts weren't available It wouldn't really make a difference as I have bought next to nothing new for it, well that and I'm cheap
