Blah blah. More of the same, few more things accomplished. Wiring door actuators right now, I hate wiring lol, finished up suspension tonight thanks to Nobby hooking me up with an adj panhard. Still waiting on the gas filler hose and idler pulley to have her drivable again. That should be here tomorrow, errrr um. Today actually. These damn late nights.

Hope so. Having carb/fuel issues now. Problems out the blue. Running fine then died on me. Let it cool and all is good, warms up again and boom, stumbling and dies. I cleaned the filter, pulled the bowl and cleaned the needle seat n such. Seems to be running ok, but haven't had time to drive it very much since the cleaning. I didn't notice any trash in the seat when I disassembled it. Just got me scratching my head because of how well it runs for a while before it starts stumbling and dies.

I was seeing 220+ degrees because of my electric fan setup is great at keeping the engine temp in check but was seriously adding to underhood temps not to mention it was 100 degrees outside... If your fuel line temp is 180 deg or cooler,you may want to check for a air leak in between the tank and fuel pump....fuel pump sucking air gives the exact same symptoms as vapor lock.Make sure your fuel pump is making 5 psi also.... |

Just a thought...when I replaced my tank, I accidently pinched the rubber vent line on top of the tank. It would run until the pump couldn't draw a vacuum any more and then die. Let it sit for a little while, get some air back into the tank, and then the pump could draw again. Your problem does sound like vapor lock, but if it wasn't doing it before you changed the tank, I would check to make sure you didn't pinch off any of the lines on the reinstall. Good luck!
