Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?

I picked up an interesting item on ebay a while back. I thought it would make a good addition to my patinaed "Speedway" service vehicle. So I built a period correct (I hope) mounting rack for it. I plan to use it as an ice chest for car shows and cruises.

Hey bud, great truck. I have heard some serious stories about the Rattlesnake. I work with a few fella's from Midland. They came to our place from VDS in 98.

Thanks NReedGC,

My son worked at VDS for 16 years until Ilmor opened their place in Detroit. He was one of the 3 or 4 people that stayed. Small world!

Trust me, they have some hills down there that steep. It's a little like parts of, well, uh, Western North Carolina maybe?

Here is my 1970 GMC. I would love to lower it but don't know how I should do it and have to save up some money but I love the truck.

Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?

If it is all coils you can buy rear lowering coils and remove front and cut one loop off, will drop the front 2" and it's free for the front, handles better too.
