I don’t know but there’s a thread on hotrodders right now about oil pans.

Re: Motorhome BBC oilpan will it fit?

I have my doubts, because the 6qt I had for my L31 had to be traded out for a 5 qt in order to clear the front crossmember on my K5. I know it's apples to oranges, but my point is that there doesn't seem to be a lot of room there.

Yep, but it's tight. Have one on my 69 flat bed

I just remembered that I had to get a long pick-up tube for the added depth

I don't have a definitive answer for you but I am familiar with that oil pan and couple things to consider. 1) In what position is your engine mounted? Stock SBC or '68-'71 BBC location? 2)Are you going to be installing an auto trans at the same time or after the engine is in place? 3) Or are you installing a manual trans?

I don’t have a definitive answer for you, either. But I did put a 454 from an RV in my ‘66 C20 and it fit fine. I had swapped the crossmember out for a ‘79 3/4 ton front crossmember.

Re: Motorhome BBC oilpan will it fit?

Thanks for your reply CAPTAINFAB.The engine is on a stand in garage.Just bought it,you know all that fresh rebuilt stuff.I had to pull pan to see for myself. Did not want to reinstall pan if it wont fit. Will be 400 turbo.I read where you recomend smallblock stands and mounts with balancer washers under the center bolt.I would like to put the engine as far back as possible,as against the firewall.I know my driveshaft wont work,700R now. Thanks for your help.

Re: Motorhome BBC oilpan will it fit?

For a big block I typically recommend either the '68-'71 BB mounts or the '73-'87 brackets and mounts for a BB.
