BadSam told me about on he saw in TN too. Could not remember where he saw it though. He is in New Johnsonville, TN.

With the rust I saw I can justify the price on this one and he was not very negotiable. but waving some $100.00 in front of him may help.

I dont intend anything negative nor am I trying to dissuade anyone from dealing for the truck. He either does not think the rust is bad or that thes is an easy fix. I just dont know as when I heard his 3500 price I backed away a bit. I think his price is based on how "rare" he knows it to be.

What I'd say is this, i am going to see the guy on Monday as he was interested in seening the Scott=bilt adds that were posted by Heart-Rod and others. I'll poke around it again and take several more photos. Happy to send them to anyone.

Of course I will plead my case with him and let him know my offer is still good. It was fair for what I've seen.

Not sure if it is the same truck you are talking about, but a friend of mine just purchased one a few weeks ago in middle Tennessee. It is a Scott-Bilt longhorn with a big block. The truck looks a mile long.

It's just my opinion but 1500 would be the maximum I would have gone for mor like 700 or 800, yea it might be rare but it's no good if all you have is 4 doors a front clip and a bed.

Looks to ahve had something mounted on teh roof at one time. Three holes on each side just above door.

I've also noticed the height of the floor seems to be taller in this truck.

Just to see if he sold the truck I called Tom yesterday and chatted with him a bit. He still has it, and the only hits he got from his CL add locally other than me he said they waned to chop it up and use it for something else.

Where he wished I would buy it and get it off his property he did say that he had someone from OHIO call him. That may send someone out to look it over.

Searching thru this thread there were several from OHIO that posted. I wonder...

Good luck if anyone does get it. It could be a great ride. I've got my sights set on something else or it may be sitting at my farm right now.

I saw that here in CL and thought someone had made it...it's soooo ugly! I do dig that one with the race car on the back though...that would be cool.

I'd love to have a ramp truck or one with a utility bed like that so I could go get cars!

Yeah its real alright. I have a line on a suburban that could help make the doors and roof look better but the more I think aobut it I could use the purchase money to get a pretty decent suburban and start driving it.

When I spoke to him last night he kept talking about all the "new" parts he put on it. "Yeah, that was eight years ago" is what I kept thinking.

For the right price this would be an ok get but he wants IMHO too much.

The problem with having a trailer or means to transport a car/truck. YOu tend to use it. I have 20+ right now and keep finding more.

Whoever it is from OHIO if they get it will have a unique and fun rig to work on.
