Rocker Panel replacement

I have the LMC catalog and Classic Industries catalogs and the rerplacement outer rockers sell for 20 bucks. Classic offers the OEM style and also one with a curve. I don't quite understand the diff.???? If LMC sells a decent part should I go with them???? What have you guys used for sources and which one is the easiest to deal with."?????

Thank you.

Re: Rocker Panel replacement

I personally would only buy panels from goodmark unless I could get a killer deal otherwise. From what i've found goodmark uses gms desine when they stamp panels so they tend to fit alot better, the better they fit the less work it will be.

Re: Rocker Panel replacement

I tried some other no-name brand rockers... didnt fit well at all. They were tweaked and i got mad and hit them with a sledge. Then i ordered inner and outer rockers from Goodmark. Fit awesome. Then got cab supports, inner and outer door bottoms, floor pans and they all fit very well. Goodmark = Great fit

Re: Rocker Panel replacement

I ordered some rockers from LMC once. The metal was super thin, and the fit was horrible. I ended up ordering some from www.gmcpauls.com (made by Triplus). The fit was great, and the metal was nice and thick.

Re: Rocker Panel replacement

I ordered my floor, rocker, kick panel, front pillar, cab corner, floor supports ect from LMC and all but one or two pieces were Triplus. If Triplus is a great fit I would hate to see what a bad one is. They didn't fit horrible but a little massaging was needed.

Re: Rocker Panel replacement

Experience tells me if it has a Goodmark label, it will most likely also have a triplus label. Goodmark gets their patch panels from overseas like most everyone else does. Chevy Duty is good(triplus also), but I've got the exact same parts from other vendors. With a little bit of modification they all fit.

Re: Rocker Panel replacement

We pretty much all get are sheet metal parts from the same places. We sell TriPlus. You can still buy new oem rocker replacement panels from Gm for 67-72 chevys They run close to $90.00 each if you want to take that route. Installing them isn't really much easier or harder than aftermarket ones.We install the products we sell and don't have much problems with the reproduction ones.

Re: Rocker Panel replacement

I am using LMC, they worked fairly well. This is my first time, but I didn't have to much trouble, how easy could it be?

Also, can anyone tell me why my URL is not at the bottom of my post? I need some help, Thanks
