Highlander Plaid - Best Source as of 2020

With Truckseats/Truckworld no longer making 1972 highlander plaid seat upholstery for the blazers, what is the next best option? I believe Carsinc currently makes some, but I have not heard about quality.

What about PUI? Does SMS do upholstery, or just sell the fabric/vinyl?

I can help. I’m a retailer for Truck World upholstery.
You can reply here or PM me details of exactly what you are looking for?

SMS auto fabric also probably have the material if you have someone to do the upholstery

Re: Highlander Plaid - Best Source as of 2020

I just had the highlander seat covers delivered from SMS, and i am very happy with the outcome.

Took them about 2 months (Ordered 5/1/20- received 6/30/20) total from order to receiving the package and that was during the whole shutdown. Very happy with their customer service

Looks like the center scroll work is there. Does the back of the seatback have the embossed stripes? Thanks for the post!

Re: Highlander Plaid - Best Source as of 2020

The pattern on the front covers looks slightly off center - maybe just angle for photo. Only mentioning for those after those done similar to OEM were there is a centered plaid band and the white “stripes” were on the sides. The rear seat patterns seem to be randomly set and not centered as were the fronts.

Re: Highlander Plaid - Best Source as of 2020

Yes it has the stripes embossed on the back of the seat looks almost identical to what is there now. even has the embossed center in the rear.

As far as the plaid goes it all lines up correctly..... Im sure its not "factory Correct" but I dont care. Just trying to get that awesome highlander look back, Thanks for the Positive feed back

Re: Highlander Plaid - Best Source as of 2020

I ordered two yards of Blue Highlander fabric 6/4/20 and I'm still waiting. Considering everything that's going on I'm not surprised and a few other vendors that I've ordered from have also had delays.

Re: Highlander Plaid - Best Source as of 2020

SMS service is horrible. Try Chad at Class Tech Cars. I ordered complete interior for a Blazer last Monday. It was in stock at PUI and I received it Friday.

He has a source for Highlander. I have not seen any so I would make sure they know to center the fabric correctly.

Looks like they are well constructed. Note that the rear seat is missing the center scroll work, and the fronts do not have the plaid centered. These seem to be common mistakes with the current highlander manufacturers.

I get pics when I get home in a day or so. That cover is for the bench in our 72 C10. I have a set coming for the Blazer shortly and I’ll post those pics also.
