Re: Got my 70 SWB 4x4

I'm with you,high-end bells & whistle every geegaw & doodad from the factory were my obsession for a long time, but I've grow to appreciate these trucks any way they came, especially as long lasting survivors. Fully loaded has been the norm for many years now. These trucks are neat to see how a feller could get what he wanted and forget the rest.
That's a hella nice example of a SWB K/10 and would look just as righteous sitting next to a Cheyenne Super.

Yeah it is a shame about the tailgate, but the truck is to nice to pass on it just for that.

My buddy would have bought it... but he is super picky and didn't want a 4 speed, and wants a 71-72 with disc brakes

I was same way, would love what he wants, but there's not many left so I jumped when I got the deal on this one.

That's a lot of accessories! The truck definitely looks a lot better without all that stuff.

Well,it's not exactly my style to have a laugh at someone else's expense, but I am the type to give you plenty of chances to get me back. Matter of fact,I'm pretty good at making fun of myself and being the first one to laugh. Never a shortage of that!

Inside I'm crying over you getting that truck and not me. If I got that truck I'd...
I had a base SWB at one time that I restored. Had to sell it when a builder went belly-up owing me a healthy chunk of change. Had to sell both of my perfect pair/holy grail trucks. Mine was a 292/4spd with a unique combo of options any real truck guy would dig. I'm gonna go cry some more now. (Man I feel sorry for myself )
