Re: Stumbling after start up

I got the free Torque Lite app, but considering how it helped me solve the mystery, I will probably go back and get the pro version. The free app takes about 30 sec to link up with the PCM, so you can imagine with my problem, how little time I had for diagnostics. I would be very interested in the "fast connect" option.

The Veepeak dongle/device had some recommendations on apps depending if you have Android or Apple. I am Android so I tried OBD Check but thought it was too limited on the free version. The Torque Lite app had more ability to see more items and the output could be changed between the line graph, a dial indicator or basic number readout. I felt it gave better info and cool stuff like speed, 0-60, etc. Not a lot of explanation of the reading (good vs. bad, in range vs. out of range, etc.) but still gave the best info, IMO. Abilities like reading and clearing codes on the free app were good too.

The one downside is that it will not let you modify or turn things on/off. You would need some kind of editing software for that.

Re: Stumbling after start up

Oh snap! I just saw the linky and I have something very similar that I can check codes with. Your app is better than mine though. I must search for a better one! I also went and bought a scanner from Harbor Freight. The best one they have and it is pretty cool as it can reset SRS codes and it gives you possible fixes to the issue it finds. I also have a Snap On unit but the HF unit is easier to use.
