Re: 8 lug wheels - what's on YOUR truck?

Here's my current wheels. 750 x 16 x 6 "Widow Makers." Haven't seen any other trucks with white hubs. I'd like to keep the same look but definitely want to get rid of the current rims. Will probably get the 16 x 8 Vintiques and have them powder coated white. Does anyone know if Vintiques will do powder coating? I know American Racing makes custom wheels as well.

Re: 8 lug wheels - what's on YOUR truck?

8 bolt 15 inch black wagons.
Tires are 35x12.50/15 Faulken Wild Peak A/T's.
Will be putting steelies with factory caps on as soon as I can find them. So far I haven't been able to find 8 bolt 15" wheels that will hold the caps on.
I may have to go with a 16" wheel. Just trying to get around buying tires since my Faulkens are still in great shape.

Bo322 - let me know if you find 16" wheels - I can't find any for sale! All I find are 16.5" or junkyard wheels

JNDewes, there's 16" out there.
This is what I've got on mine. Even though they're Ford, it's the same bolt pattern and same nubs for hubcaps.

Wheel Vintiques is probably the best option.

Re: 8 lug wheels - what's on YOUR truck?

I found wheels on Vintiques:
https://www.wheelvintiques.com/view-catalog

I know they have 16" 8 lug wheels and they may have 17" wheels.

Be aware that your hubcaps may not fit as tight - even with a powedercoat, I've lost hubcaps on potholes. You might consider applying some tape to the hubcap lugs to ensure a tight fit.

Wow - those sure look wide for 8"? If you didn't post them as 8" wide, I would've thought they were 10" wide. are they 4.25" of back space?

I bought them naked and had them powder coated locally. They were same price naked as powder coated black. I think having them do the wheels in white was a good bit more.

Didn't know about the dually center caps. Might have to check into that.
Did Anyone find those dually center caps? I'm looking at a set of those wheels tomorrow. Thank you

Does anyone have a part number for those dually hub centers. I just picked up a set of 16 inch wheels with trims and centers and am looking for some centers to fit over my Dana 60 hub. Thank you

Re: 8 lug wheels - what's on YOUR truck?

For my '72 C20 I went back to steel wheels with hubcaps. The wheels are 16"x7" that I got brand new off eBay (Dorman 939-198) for $67 each shipped. A friend powdercoated them white for me. Tires are LT245/75/R16.

Re: 8 lug wheels - what's on YOUR truck?

American Standard Cyclones, and I like em a lot. When the rubber burns off the rear I'll replace the 16.5 x 9.75 wheels with 16.5 x 8.25 cyclones, like what's on front. Kind of a shame, but no way I'm spending $400 a tire.

Came with these 2500 wheels, went back to steelies with caps from an '89 Suburban 4X4. The front caps clear the Dana 60 hubs.

9.50 16.5's in the front, and 12.50 16.5's in the rear on aluminum slots, they were "the wheels" to have in the 70's. use to haul a 10.5' cab over camper back then.

White wheels and bumper rock.
Sensing a white roof cap to bring it all together.
