How much would you spend

Hey guys my names Paul I have a chance to buy a 1970 chevy c10 longhorn 4 speed 350 v8 from a buddy of mine it's been just sitting in the corner of his yard he wants 1500 for it ,he has the window sticker from when then previous owner purchase it in the 70s for $4100 there's no rot on the truck beside the wood floor of the bed it starts if you put gas down the carb but the gas in the tank is old and smells bad.the dash says 86k for miles . It's goin to need to be clean and gone though. My question is 1500 dollars to much for this truck and what would you pay ? I think 1500 isn't to bad for a truck that has 0 rot compare to on craigslist in Connecticut you can't find one under 2k and it has rot

I think they may be a C/30 or C/20, not a C/10. Buy it!

Re: How much would you spend

I'd try and wiggle him down to $1300, offer $1000 because its not running and you don't know what all its going to take to get it up and running, but if its no dice and he won't budge i'd still feel ok at $1500.

Those wheels are deadly! You can get some 16" Ford wheels with nubs that will let you use your hub caps.

Re: How much would you spend

If that's the case, it's worth the $1,500 and then some, especially in your area. How did it survive so well... and a work truck at that?

I am a haggling fool but on that truck I would have given him a deposit until I could have gotten the money together, and had a big smile on my face. No rust and I am all over it.
