i was thinking 2 coils all the way around.
i was reading on HAMB and this one guy said thats what he did on his 64 and it looked like the perfect drop. the way gm should have made this cars back in the 60's

your saying 2 is to much
maybe 2 up front and 1 in the back

do you happend to have a before and after pic?

air cleaner

all the gaskets.

so now that you saw the before of the rocker
here is what i finished up doing today.

heres a pic of me working on the front patch

Heres test fitting the pieces.


starting to weld them in


finished product still have to go back and dress all my welds.

Size:  31.2 KBI cut off 1 first and it didnt make any difference.I pulled them back out i was just going to cut a half coil but the coil ends on a 69 have a place were there suppose to sit so i cut off another full coil.Alot of guys say they cut off coils in 1/2 even 1/4!I dont know how they would put the ends to make it seat properly.You also may consider running short headers or manifolds.I rented my spring compressor from auto zone it is like the one in the pic and it was a pain in the ass putting them back in with just 1 coil off,but real easy with 2 cut off.

Missing a few screws. (I may have them). Needs to be cleaned (old oil etc is making mech. advance stick). But it works. Its the dizzy that came in my blue truck when i bought it

(Looking back now I know why I couldnt get it timed right, mech advance never came in)

found a intake.
got the supports in and the pans are all ready to get welded in. just got to clean up the frame and supports and paint it all then weld them in. should be done this week sometime. then its on to MOTOR MOUNTS anybody got any info on v8 motor mounts in these cars or where you would buy them?

No idea on the motor mounts, maybe a belair forum? Motor/rust repair looks good. I wish I could do that!

Cleaned up the frame today. the supports are almost done just gotta paint do one more patch and then weld the floors in. the floors are almost done!

Motor mounts are simple the i6 motor side fits the v8 block and the frame mounts need to be changed!
gonna order the frame mounts in town tomorrow!

After painting the frame chassis black i welded the pans in
! floors are done.... headers come tomorrow along with the motor mounts getting a gasket kit also tomorrow! its gonna be one sick beast!

Headers and motor mounts came in today!!! gonna clean the trans up.. will i need a new torque converter from a six to v8??

dont have any pics cause no one looks at this thread hahaha...

Got a small can of paint for the firewall once its painted the motor goes in. and i can start putting the front end back together.. more to come boys.
