Crew

I live in the DFW area and am looking for a crew cab pickup. I am not looking for nothing special nor running. Mainly just the cab and frame

How far do you feel like driving?

I have a 79 C30 crew cab and frame.

The cab is in decent shape. The floors are rusted along the rockers and the rockers are rusted.

I have the patch panels to fix the rockers and floors.

The frame is in excellent shape. The front and rear suspension are still attached. The suspension has been lowered 3 inches, thats 6 in the rear and 3 in the front to make it level. The rear is a DANA 70. This was a 454/400 truck. The engine and trans are removed.

Interested?

Actually, I would not drive that either.

I would use a car transporter instead, not the kind used to move customs or new cars. I move alot of vehicles and parts that way. Its always been cheaper than if I did it myself and I have my own truck and 18 foot dovetail with ramps. You do have to be carefull which one you use.

For example, I just had a nearly complete rolling 1983 K20 transported 900+ miles for $600. Took one week from the day I scheduled to the day it was unloaded in my driveway.

Just a thought.

What are you building? What do you need specifically?

Email me if you like.

You know where Lake Lavon is at? It's east off of 78.

East of Plano. It's a small junkyard. Last time I was there he had it. You might look at the on in Grand Prarie. I know there is a large truck one there that may have what you need.
