Re: Do you grill in winter
Nice outdoor setup there. I am thinking pork chops is on the agenda today and at 2 degrees outside I think maybe I will actually dirty a skillet for inside cooking. The beauty of skillet, flour dredged fried pork chops is the gravy just like grandma made with the little crunchy bits on the bottom of the skillet. Make a puppy pull a freight train getting to that plate.

Re: Do you grill in winter
I barely grill in the summer. Somehow my man card didn't get punched with the grill endorsement heh.
I bought a super nice grill with all the do-dads and still didn't grill worth a darn. I ended up letting it get so gross I tossed it out. So a year or so later we bought a much smaller one. Good idea, easier to take care of right? No, its sitting next to the recycle waiting to go to the dump. |

Re: Do you grill in winter
Just turn the heat on high and burn off the mess CG. Afterwords, rub the grill part with crumpled up aluminum foil. It molds to the contours and is cheap and easier than a nasty wire brush clogged with gunk. The little burnt up crusty's will come right off.
I have an old Webber that I was going to buy new grates for because they were so bad. The lady at the Webber store told me the trick. Works great. |
