Static drop on 59?

I've read so many posts here on suspension but all are more drastic than what I'm looking for.

What I'd like to have is a tiny bit of rake and a lower ride height if possible on my stock 59 without going to air bags.

I've purchased and have ready 16" 6 lug original rims and a set of Coker 7.50 x 16" wide white wall tires that are 31.5 inches.

Am I going to be able to remove some leaf springs? Should I leave well enough alone?

The truck is about to undergo a frame off restoration so would like to build it with a profile that is functional yet attractive.

Re: Static drop on 59?

If I am going to take out a leaf or two, should I take out second shortest and then the fourth shortest if I want to go lower? Or, take out the shortest then the second one etc?

I'm thinking alternating but perhaps that's wrong?
