New to us 72 Suburban

First of all, I have to give Leon, LockDoc, a huge thank you. H eturned me on to this burb and we almost missed out on getting it purchased. He also helped me go over and get it out of where it was setting. Thanks again Leon!!! The original owner must have been worried about people robbing parts off the engine because he had the hood chained down. I'm glad he did.

It has been setting for 30 years under that lean too. It is rusty but not beyond repair. It is my wife's new ride. The thing is pretty loaded up and it even has a 402. There's a good chance the engine is locked up from setting plus it sounds like it had a bad noise in the engine and that is why it was parked all those years ago. I was going to leave it alone and put a different big block in it but I just can't do that. I'm almost certain it is getting a 12 valve cummins and a 47rh trans. I have the stuff to do it and it will make it such a nice rig to drive. The originality bothers me to change it but then again, driving a big block across country on vacations isn't going to be cheap. More to come on all that.

Currently it is setting on Leon's trailer and I need to go get it. I have been so busy lately I haven't had time to get over there. I'm hoping to get over there and get it with in the next week and wash it off to see how it looks. The wife is wanting to paint it sea foam green. I really like that color so we're going to do it.
