Man, I love the truck, and almost everything you've done to it. I can't believe I'm saying it , but I actually like the 18's better on the truck. I'm usually a dyed in the wool old school wheel guy, (my truck runs 15" truck rallys, and I love them). I love the color, the 5.3 swap, even the little details, like the trim ring around the radio. Keep up the great work!

Awesome truck and nice job sorting through everything on it.

Not sure I would of selected the wheels that were on it, but think they actually looked good on it.

Re: regretted selling my '70 so i bought this '72

so yesterday i finally got the center caps and lugs in the mail...

fitted the center caps and put the wheels on then just did a quick torque with a 1/2 ratchet

so ive never had this happen before but maybe the first one was a fluke?
nope.

i guess dont buy lugs on amazon? LOL
i obviously didnt feel safe running those crappers so i called to complain and was refunded right away actually.
so thats nice.

called the local VatoZone and they could get the ones i needed next day but wouldnt let me just pay over the phone...
sooooo i had to hustle and put the 18" fronts back on and jam over there before they closed.

picked up the new lugs on my lunch break and put the fronts after work tonight.
only snapped a quick pic before i went out and did burnouts all around the block...you know to test that the wheels were seated.

I think you've inspired me. Last weekend I picked up this set off CL for 30 bucks! Hoping to find another set of 15x8s or some 10s for the rear. I did a family pole (with my wife and 5 year old) and the consensus was go with the cragars! They look sweet on your truck!

Great pics!

Those new meaty rear tires really gives your truck a mean pro-street look!

Keep the great pics coming!

I'm old school, prefer the 15s with more rubber!

Love your "new" wheels. I'm working on some old Rockets for mine.

Re: regretted selling my '70 so i bought this '72

no major updates really.
just been driving the wheels off the thing daily.
still rubbing nickels together trying to justify a cam/valve springs/pushrods/timing kit/stall converter/trans cooler purchase...

but here is a vid from yesterday

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
