This is a no brainer. I like 'em all. I've had them all and even all at one time. I've downsized and went with keeping a SWB 2wd '67 and a 3/4t 4wd '72. First and last year,2wd and 4wd,light duty and heavy duty.

I like my '69 for a lot of reasons, the high hump hood, the grill...everything. It's the first truck my son ever rode in and I have owned it for around 30 years. It's a part of me and a part of my family.

I love my 67 for the slant hood, no side markers, small window and all the unique features 67 had such as the front marker lights go off when the headlights come on. But i have to say the best part of my 67 was the ease to put on disc brakes from a 71 But like special K said they are all great trucks and they all have their own unique features that makes them inovative and stylish

That's a neat story. I bet driving your truck takes you back to a different state of mind over 40 years ago. You may have had more pi$$ and vinegar then, but at the end of the day, you're the same guy, driving the same type of truck. Very cool

And one day, when you no longer walk the earth, maybe you can pass it to him and he can carry on your memory through the truck.

Can you elaborate more on the disc brakes? How much did it cost you to do it?

Re: What makes you like your year more than the other years?

SLANT NOSE ROCKS!!!!

I like 68's best----cause I have one (after months of looking it came down to deciding between a 69 and a 68----luck of the draw!!!
I love the fact that they are so interchangeable and at the same time I love and hate the design because its so prone to rust.

Love them all!

But enjoying my 67 because it's easily identifiable...one year only with no sidemarkers and with the small back window....you know it really is a 67...not a clone...

There are a LOT more 67's and 72 than were first made....those seem to be the most reproduced...

I like this for some reason. Not sure why though! It reminds me of something. Very nice man.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

I told my son, while I was in the middle of the build (I am now kinda' coming close to the end of the build), I was building him a truck but he wouldn't be getting it until I stop breathing. He has been carrying around a plastic bag and a roll of duct tape ever since.

I like my 69 because it belonged to my grandfather who bought it new and used it for work every day. I like my 72 because its the only 4 wheel drive short bed I could find for $2000! I don't care what year they are really, they're all great trucks.

Well all i did was take the spindles with calipers and rotors off a 71 and had to go back for the drag link with ps and just replace all the ball joints and tie rods for 71 or 2. I got everything from a junkyard for 70 bucks. More money to get tie rods and ball joints than anything

I have a 70 and a 67. The 67 is by far my favourite because of it's one year only features and it just plain looks better than the other years. That small back window just sets off the stepside. But I like em all.

Are you afraid to sleep at nite? m y son wants to do that to me too.

My father in law bought the truck new and passed away 2000.When wife and I dated some we went out in the truck.one nite I got ready to leave and my car wouldn't start and I drove it for about a week. I was the only one besides him and my wife that drove the truck.now our son drives it some also.

I like the first two years for the slanted front hood, Chevrolet lettering and grill. I just happened to find a '68.

Re: What makes you like your year more than the other years?

This is my 4th 1963-66 truck.
When i was born i was brought home from the Hospital in a 1961 chevy truck my father had just bought.
In High school I had a 1956 and 63 Both trucks. After that was my two 64's and the 66 I have now.
I guess I liked them long before they were ever popular.....I like the Under dogs.
