Just picked up a '74 swb pickup......
[FONT="Georgia"]Been a long time since I've been an active member here. Sold my trucks and been tinkering with cars but I just bought a '74 Chevy swb truck. Its still at my buddies house and I'm picking it up this weekend but I'm already excited about the possibilities. The original 350 is cracked and I have a replacement but I also have a complete '73 454 set up out of a pickup that I may swap in there. [FONT]

Is that a wood grain overlay on the instrument bezel? If so, I would like to find one like that either new or good used. I have similar wood grain trim in cab but not that.

What does it say on the dash?
Custom Deluxe? Or something else?

Great looking truck you got. I hope you leave it relatively stock. So many are getting changed and to see a stock one is a nice .

That's a neat truck. Looks like it's ready for a little attention, but it already looks cool.

Thanks all. Not sure what I'm going to do with it just yet. I'm looking at photos of other builds and I'm getting very excited......probably more excited than my wallet will handle, lol.
The truck is a Cheyenne Super with A/C but no tilt or tach. I'm supposed to pick it up Saturday. I will post more photos of it then. |

Cool truck! I love those shortbed squarebodies.
Oh, and hey from down the road. I'm in Winston Salem, and grew up around Hickory.

Cool truck. We had a 74 Cheyenne Super in the same color scheme.
