I have a friend that is swapping in a 6.0 into a 01 dually the dually was a 8.1 gas burner with a Allison but has no wiring harness for the Allison some trucks I have seen with a 6.0 and Allison need help finding out what harness he needs to run this 8.1 Allison transmission behind the 6.0 or will the 8.1 harness work with the 6.0 ????

Since those two weren’t offered together don’t think it will be plug-n-play, but thought the engine side was the same or similar, so getting them to work shouldn’t be terrible.

yes he has the 6.0 engine wiring harness but the Allison has a separate wiring harness and module he has some of the harness for the transmission but when it all got pulled they cut the harness when it was removed from salvage yard
