I took a break from the automotive projects last weekend and built this.

I built one of those for my family also ..only have movies of them and me and every friend my kids had ,,,so get ready as you will be getting lots of company ..

My dad built my brother and I one, it was AWESOME, it started about 30ft high and ended about 6ft high. So much fun, I was about 8 at the time.

what a blast! I made a 120ft. dog run at my old house but never thought about a zipline!

I would get some liability waivers if the neighbor kids come over!!!

That little girl looks she was having the most fun

.That`s really cool.Every kid should be so lucky.I just took mine down last year since the kids are big and changing things around.

I did the one in Haiti last year (my 1st) and wow what a rush.

I wish my dad had done that for me when I was a little kid

We're loving it so far. It is awesome for the kids and my brother and I always wanted one back in the day too. I will definately need to upgrade the pulleys to something hardened though. There are already starting to wear out. Looks like they are aluminum...

Mr Fry,

What are the spec's of your zipline and where did you get your trolley?

I have thought about making one of these for a while but all of the trolleys were pretty expensive (yes I know that myself and loved ones will be hanging off of it) but hey, I'm semi cheap.

80' of 1/4" galvanized steel braided line. I bought two pulleys from home depot and welded them to a common bar with a central anchor point. The sheaves (pulley wheels) need to be upgraded to stainless and that's what get's expensive. I have yet to buy/upgrade those (they are now aluminum). If you want a close up shot of it let me know.
