Heater Box

My uncle has a 96 s10 with a 4 cylinder in it and it was in a wreck in the past and the heater box in the engine compartment is busted. He wants me to change it out for him. Does anyone have any advice or know what's all involved in doing that?

Re: Heater Box

Does he have a/c?

On my 03 it looks like the fender has to come off, but mine has a/c.

Re: Heater Box

Yes it has AC.I discovered it was broken last year when I put a timing chain in it but didn't think much about it because he wasn't going to keep the truck. Now he wants it fixed.
