Re: CAN I see your EXHAUST system??
I had it bent to go up over the outside of the frame rail just under the front of the bed. I then tucked the Flowmasters on their sides up under bed sides, and ran the 2 1/2" pipe over the rearend right under the inside of rear wheel tub. Had to smash or oval the pipe a little right where it goes over rearend. It's in winter storage right now. PM me in a couple weeks, I'm going to my friends shop where it is and I can take some pics. I had the truck off the frame 1 1/2 years ago and did the complete body and paint on it.

Here are a few pics of my just installed stainless Magnaflow system with Magnaflow cats. I'm also using Sanderson CC11 headers.

Re: CAN I see your EXHAUST system??
No, but my wife always complains about the smell from my carb equipent 69 Camaro, so I decided to clean this one up. The cat's are very small, about 9" long and cost about $80 each. They are full flow so, they really don't cost much if any power. At idle they do seem to quiten the noise down a bit.

Re: CAN I see your EXHAUST system??
I have to shower after running any of my carb'd cars, and that's with O2 sensors to make sure they're running right even! I was never sure you could add cats to them, since if you were rich it'd be a lot of fuel for them to burn. But my '75 Monte had a cat and had a carb. Mind you in those days muffler shops would PAY you to let them rip your cats out (for the precious metals). They'd even open up the fuel filler neck for you. Yes, we were raging ecocriminals, but this was when everyone burned their trash in a 45 gallon drum on Mondays!

Here's a pic of one of my Magnaflow cats. That's the oil filter in blue for size comparison. They really are small.

Re: CAN I see your EXHAUST system??
Dagman, doesn't the passenger pipe go right under the rubber fuel line from the cab to frame? That's what I'm up against.
PS: Careful with that rear brake hose - it's partly holding your axle up!

Re: CAN I see your EXHAUST system??
Yes, it does go under the fuel line but the line is sucked up to the cab. The blazer tank install is going to make everything easier along the frame.
That brake line actually failed while it was on the lift. Almost all rubber lines were replaced when I had it up. |

Re: CAN I see your EXHAUST system??
Don't mind the mess, i still have some tidying up to do inside the frame. Ram horn manifolds, 2.5" pipe all the way with flowmaster 50 series delta flow, and an H-pipe. Sounds perfect (to me anyway).
