New Project. Need some ideas

Hey. I jsut bought a 1972 chevy c10 off a guy that was for sale on ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...5585&rd=1&rd=1
It has a lator(90's) 350(roller cam) motor and 350 tranny with 308 rear end gears. The truck was a daily driver until somthing went wrong in the engin that stoped it from driving. The guy said it had a knock but when we drove it home we noticed that the guy wasn't that smart and it had no knock it jsut ran on 4 cylinders. I need some idea's what to do to it. I would like to keep it just a requler street truck with a good running motor and nice paint. I need to know what to do for motor and paint and anything else cool I could incorperate into the truck. I was thinking this for motor, seems liek a good deal.

I have already got a 4 speed to put in it. Let me know what you think. I'm also on a budget because i'm only 16. Pics of other trucks would be nice to Thanks

Re: New Project. Need some ideas

Welcome to the board.
If the motor runs half decent then
the only advice I can offer is to get the body looking the way you want it first.
that is what you see the most of every day, unless it uses alot of oil, then you pop the hood every day.lol.

I open my hood about once a week. so I won't put all my money under the hood
the door that I open every day will get oil on the hinges so it does not squeek.etc.

nice truck.

kent

p.s there are tons of pictures on this site if you search a little.
