Tilt Steering

Just curious...Most all of the tilts I have seen are black. Are there tilts that are color matched to truck?

I've got a Sierra Grande in Light Olive Green with a non tilt column and want to upgrade...Thx.

Re: Tilt Steering

All tilts were black. I believe all trucks thar had tilt from the factory had a black dash pad as well no matter how it was optioned.

Re: Tilt Steering

FWIW I decided, like the bed seams on the Longhorn, that this was just GM being cheap and I "fixed" it during my restoration by painting it blue. It's totally incorrect, but as it should have been.

Anyone who knows these trucks will spot my "mistake", but it looks right. But they're supposed to be black. I'm not sure about the dash pad, I don't think that's the case, but I'm no expert.

Re: Tilt Steering

Thanks for the replies...I haven't really paid attention to the colors on the tilts until I didn't have one...

I just bought a 72 1/2 Ton GMC Sierra Grande and I think it has less options than my 72 3/4 Ton Custom Deluxe Highlander...It's all good though.

Thanks again...Alan
