Bought a new truck - 72 C20 402BBC

I wasn't really in the market for a new truck but I found this one a couple hours away from me (I live in Cleveland, OH) that was originally from Colorado and it came with a host of good options and only 86K miles on the clock.

I did a cummins conversion on my really crusty '70 C10 so I think I might pull my driveline and swap it over to this heavy duty - leaf spring C20 with the Dana 60. The 402 is out of the truck currently due to a wiped out cam (that's the way I bought it).

I can pull all of my rebuilt C10 suspension/5 lug conversion stuff off of it and keep the complete big block driveline from the C20 and look for a short bed to make 1 good truck out of the parts.

That looks like a pretty clean old truck. Sounds like you have a good plan.

Good luck!

Cheyenne Super Custom Camper! Nice! ochre w/olive custom cloth to boot - any pics of the interior? Gotta tell ya, that's sure seems nice enough to restore to original in my book. But that diesel would find a nice home in there as well. Good luck and I look forward to the progress.

Yeah the interior is definitely a little odd. I can snap a pic in the morning. Yellow doors, wood grain, and olive green door panels and seat.

Here is a pic of the interior. Someone painted the wood grain inserts in the doors black but beyond that it appears relatively factory. Not sure if the seat has been recovered.

Are the air conditioning components worth anything on these trucks? It's all their including the big block compressor mounting brackets, condenser, etc. I don't think I am going to try and put the original system back together and if I end up putting the cummins in this truck, the HVAC box under the hood is too large to clear the turbo.

That truck is a beauty! Other than a possible Cummins conversion are you planning on keeping the truck as is?

Yeah I really like how the truck already looks so I don't think I will change much on it besides fixing some issues (front bumper is bent, trim has seen better days, etc)

No, not worth anything. But, to be a good guy, I will take it away from you for a small fee. Seriously though, if the components are in good shape, several will be interested, me included. I am looking for all original components to add to my truck.
