Rear sway bar

Do coil spring rear trucks have sway bars at all? I know they have the centering link that goes side to side.

Re: Rear sway bar

did not come from factory with swaybar option

aftermarket (helwig) units are available and effective a lot of guys also use some imagination and convert factory type swaybars to work well

Once I put bags (for heavy loads) on the rear of my truck I'd love to put the sway bar in at the same time.

Factory ones work great at a fraction of the cost & with very little modification. I installed a front sway bar from a late '70s chevy pickup and a rear sway bar from an early '90s camaro Z28, just had to mount some 1" spacer blocks in the rear to mount to the frame & I replaced the worn out rubber bushings with new polyurethane ones from NAPA.

The front/rear sway bars made a world of difference in handling!!

Re: Rear sway bar

Thanks!!! I knew someone did it before, because I'm swaping a 94 rearend and has brakets that hold the sway bar and I'll see more slow your article to understand it.

Re: Rear sway bar

Here is mine. It is a camaro rear 7/8" adco sway bar. I have not driven with it but found the method here on this site.
