Lowering and Tire Size

Looking at buying a 4/6" lowering kit for my 2004 RCSB Silverado that has factory 245/70/17 tires and wheels at the moment. Im wondering if Id have any problems with scrubbing or rubbing bad with the lowering kit until I can get some factory 20 or 22" wheels later on. Thanks a lot guys

Re: Lowering and Tire Size

You shouldn't with those factory wheels/tires....I'm running a 2/4 drop on mine...(more like 3'' in the front) with GM 20's on a 275-55-20 tire....I had only slight rubbing at full turns on mine, right on the front rubber part of the wheel-well liner...A heat gun works wonders on that though...
