Installed Holley sniper efi

This system so far is awesome. No more cold startups, great throttle response, more hp.
It’s like a different truck.

While I had the bed off I installed a c notch kit. No more axle bump.

It seems like a great kit! How sturdy is the 02 sensor bung considering you don’t weld it in and just clamp it?

Checked after a couple weeks. Still good and solid with no leaks.

Did you use any kind of sealant on the plate holding the bung?

Re: Installed Holley sniper efi

Bob, Sir
What fuel tank do you have? I just got off the phone with Holley to order all the goodies to install the Sniper EFI and they started talking crazy when it came to the fuel tank.
Thank you

It’s a stock rear replacement tank for these trucks like what comes in 70 k5 blazer or suburban. If you look at the tank picture all the filters and pump come with the Holley sniper kit. I mounted the whole setup to a piece of steel and mounted it to the cross member in front of the tank.i ran the return line into 1 of the 3 vents that come with that tank.
Works great just take your time and follow the instructions.

Re: Installed Holley sniper efi

Thank you for the reply and beautiful truck! So I can buy a factory replacement fuel tank (non-EFI) and the Sniper kit comes with everything else, correct?
That is what I believed to be true but I think the friendly tech guy was so excited about his products he confused me by talking about Ford Mustang tanks and later model GM- EFI tanks and a thousand different part numbers.....
He did mention setting up the pump and filter just like what you did and I plan to do the same now that you have me straightened out again.

Re: Installed Holley sniper efi

I'm hoping in the next couple weeks i'm going to order the whole sniper kit with the dizzy and all for my burb. I hope to see a little improvement in mpg and starting ability. my quad is not choking very good but runs great after warm up. You have any suggestions or comments on installing yours?

Take your time read and follow directions and you will be good.
No more warm up problems after you install this system. I was really impressed.

Re: Installed Holley sniper efi

That's a nice install you did. Im not up on these aftermarket set ups, you make it look pretty simple (ish). I thought all FI had to have some sort of in tank pump. Learn something new here everyday on the board.

Good looking ride you have going there!

Ditto. ESPECIALLY the instructions regarding the wiring! Also, I highly recommend taking the time to read through the pinned posts in the Holley Sniper forums, lots of good info there. https://forums.holley.com/forumdispl...?82-Sniper-EFI

I did a similar install recently. Fitech on a turbo setup. Love it. Everyone should do it.
