For those of you looking for a really nice survivor, you won't find many like this at any price. If I had the money I wouldn't be sharing!

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

well, it wouldn't be easy - but this is the best place on the planet to look (parts section ads, look for someone parting a Longhorn or post a wtb ad). That looks like a solid start to a nice Longhorn.

interesting Craigslist add

https://myrtlebeach.craigslist.org/c...299997935.html

This isn't so much of a find, I just thought it was interesting since the truck has a big block buick, the add says it's original. Did GMC or Chevrolet use buick engines in these trucks? If so that's news to me.

Never! Gmc used Pontiac engines in the 55-59 trucks.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

I looked at this one in person. Fremont plant truck with no rust and straight sheet metal. 1 dent in the front bumper and the tailgate is well...lets just say its set up to tow.

Originally a blue truck with a bad re-paint. DMV back fees b/c it wasn't non-oped.

71 Longhorn Custom Camper 402 - Custom Deluxe only, despite dash woodgrains - accurate description by seller - originally white roof/med olive body. $7.5K

https://littlerock.craigslist.org/ct...306475534.html

DUH - sorry, no wonder it's an accurate description, it's member Razorbacker and it's also posted in the trucks for sale section. Sorry to re-post. Good luck with the sale, really like this truck!
