I will find a good complete tear out unit and coordinate getting it to you. I have several times in the next 2 months that I am going across the state to check on some projects I have in twin, burley, Driggs and Jackson hole Wyoming and will figure out where to get it closer to you. I also will be in St anthonys in late may at the dunes. we will keep in touch.

Geeze, I'm sorry about my 1 oclock in the morning breif discription miswording. I was going to let it go but the gas valve operation is slightly mistaken, and since we are being very picky about wording....


The thermocouple, heated by the pilot light, provides electricity to hold the pilot valve open. The main valve is operated by the 24 volts provided by the transformer.

This is the system on your Rexnor. The thermocouple system.

The reason your gas valve won't work, pt# 36c03u-400 the milli volt valve, is beacuse it is designed to work only slightly different.

In a milivolt system, The pilot light heats a pilot generator, which produces more electricity than a thermocouple system, enough to operate the main valve also. Most appliances with the milli volt systems can operate without power ( 110 or etc. ) being supplied.

If your gas valve pt# was 36c03-400 ( no U ) it would have been a 24 volt gas valve and would have worked for you. They seem to run in the $75 to $100 range.
