You definetly didn't steal them...

drivers seat foam will need replaced and covers are available, just depends on if you do it yourself or have a shop make some. I'd say you're looking at $500+ to get them looking new again.

Re: Lets see those BUDDY BUCKETS!!!!!!!

ok, so from all the images I have seen of buddy buckets in this thread,
I have not seen one with the rear middle bracket that supports the seat away from the gas tank.
Did these brackets only come on trucks that had buddy buckets from the factory?

I have the bracket in my truck, I will take a picture so everyone can see what I'm talking about.....
It could well be that someone made the bracket that is in my truck....... never know..
but it does make the seat face sit flush with the other 2 seats.

Hang Tight I'll be right back with the photo.

EDIT: here is a photo..

I'll unscrew it and get a few pics of the bracket alone.

Scott

Re: Lets see those BUDDY BUCKETS!!!!!!!

How does that bracket attach? Or can a guy build one similar? Never seen one before, but am interested in it since I picked up some bbs.

Re: Lets see those BUDDY BUCKETS!!!!!!!

It's identical to mine.
There are 3 phillips head sheetmetal screws(1/2 long by number 8 maybe) that go up thru it into the underside of the cab.

I'll take some pics and put together some dimensions of the bracket, this way anyone that wants to take on the challenge of making one for themselves can.

Thanks a bunch AustinScott! Great write up of dimensions. I should be able to give them to my buddy and he can whip one up in his brake.

Re: Lets see those BUDDY BUCKETS!!!!!!!

$300-450 for a used setup, add $400-$500 for cushions, custom work on covers starting around $300-$400 n up. Looking at a nice set with new cushions in the ball park of $1100-$1400.
Ricks Upholstery on the web made those 50th Gold n White BB's. He does nice work. Had him do covers for one of mine a few years ago in green hounds tooth. Quality workmanship.

Re: Lets see those BUDDY BUCKETS!!!!!!!

well Here are mine, i bought a swb 68 fleet (no motor/trans) because i needed a good bed and body, only paid $2000 and it came with the seat that had recently been redone. I heard the seat was worth $1000 but couldnt believe it. I wanted to put a floor shifter with oone of those bada$$ shifter knobs so i wanted to go buckets and a custom console but i really like the buddy seat.

I have over $1500 in mine, but that included blasting and painting the frames, new foams and covers, and paying to have them assembled. Worth every penny!
