Re: Show me your 67-72 4x4 Suburbans!

Does anyone on this thread want to sell their K20 suburban or know anyone that is trying to sell one? Always been a dream of mine to own a 3 door suburban. This thread is just awesome.

you could set up a similar search pattern with the terms of what you're looking for..

might have to open a couple of different search arrays with different terms, such as 4x4 / 4 x 4 / 4wd / four wheel drive / you get the idea..

good luck!

you get the idea.. add all the major cities you're willing to drive to or ship from and check the boxes for surrounding cities until your search results overlap..

you'll go through all of the usual mixed bag of craigslisters.. some really cool folks and some super flakes.. gotta weed through them though when you're on the hunt for something getting kind rare..

lots of 2wd but 4wd results are limited and even fewer 3/4t 4wd..

used these too but lots of bogus listings and emailed and called on a few that were either sold two years ago or never heard back from anyone

good luck!

Very cool with tow hooks and clearance lights.

Any pics of the passenger side? I have a feeling my camper mirrors are mounted in the wrong spot.

I started a build thread. There's a few more pics in there. I'll get some more in the next few days too. I'm pretty happy with my new toy...

These aren't the original mirrors though. There's a whole other set of holes for different mirrors in both doors...

I think that day was beach side San Luis Pass about where the homes start. Water was nice, but not a lot of fish in the surf that day. We did hammer them right at sunset wading around the channels back on the bay side. After that we moved off the island and parked about half way between San Luis and Surfside and had better luck in the surf... A few other families came out for a day and we had a huge fish fry on the beach that night. Next day made our way down past Corpus and hit the 4x4 beach heading south. Spent a few days down there, but the wind changed and the fishing dried up. Spent more time surfing than fishing the last couple of days. But fun trip and the boys had a blast!
BTW - I sent you a PM about your AC system...

This is my mutt. I have been sitting on the chassis for about 5 years, got the body about a year ago. Finally got some time over the last two months to put it together. Not done but does drive in and out of the barn on it's own.

Re: Show me your 67-72 4x4 Suburbans!

I think I've only posted the blue one last year, anyways, sorry for the dupe..

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...&postcount=258

blue GMC is a 72 K1500 350/350/np205 built in Flint, lived in CO

white [gray primer] is a 71 K20 350/350/np205 built in Fremont, lived in CA

the blue one arrived with a lot of rust, still kickin around ideas for it to avoid parting/selling.. runs strong, gas tank out of it right now for fuel system cleaning/mending.. probably just be a winter ride for the farm when I retire there.. MO road salt is a killer so might as well keep it for those times of year..

the white one I picked up in person, is mostly original, uncut, and running local errands.. lots of surface rust but only a couple of minor, completely repairable rust through spots.. I have gathered a few choice factory accessories to be fit and installed before paint; both white [paintable] bumpers, grill guard, skid plate, tow hooks, d29 below eyeline mirrors, and roof rack.. still on the fence with seat options but between the two burbs, I have 2 full front benches, 2 full middle benches, 1 3/4 middle bench, 1 3/4 rear bench, and some non-factory front buckets [not going in either one]

Love the blue and white! This is the paint scheme colors I want for my 70 4wd. I've seen at least 5 variations of the two tone paint though.

1) roof only white
2) roof and D pillar white
3) roof D pillar and rocker body line white
4) roof D pillar A, B and C pillars white
5) roof A. B, C, and D pillars and rocker body line white like yours
