Unhappy Another one bites the dust...

I sold my beloved '72 two years ago to a friend (or so I thought) when Uncle Sam made me move last time. I talked to him today and he said that he completely dismantled and parted it out, keeping only the 350 for his truck. So now Lester lives on in about 5 other trucks in North Dakota. I think I need a beer...

Unhappy

Well, It's not living on in my truck if it's any consolation. Where in ND are you from? It looks like the Red River valley in the picture.

I lived in Minot for about 8 years. Found not many of these trucks up there.

Sorry to hear about that.

It looked like a nice truck and way too nice to part out.

We should have a moment of silence for this tragic event.
Ive seen some bonehead manuvers done to these trucks.
One guy took a fairly nice 70 C10 LWB 402/400 and cut the right side off the bed! Right down to the bed floor. Said it was easier unloading bricks that way. Im thinking why not pull the bed and make a flatbed out of pressure treated wood.

Yeah, I'll have to go with Baradium on this one. WTF? That looks like a pretty damn straight truck to be parting out. Looks straighter than the one I'm restoring!

"when Uncle Sam made me move last time"

Oh I get it. You must have been stationed at the Minot AFB. Here I thought you were some kind of waco income tax evader or something!

That was a nice old truck. I'd be very bummed.
