yeah, 44" tires, AND a big block, supposedly with 500 HP...with those half ton axles. I'd say they won't last long. but still a nice blazer other than that. I dunno about $10k worth of nice, but...hey, ya never know.

My buddy is contemplating it... I am trying to talk him into it. It will do fine for street driving, and he can still get on the gas from time to time without killing it.
The 1/2 ton drivetrain will hold up to reasonable abuse. Now, if he powerbrakes, that is a different story, but also keep in mind, he has 4.88s too, so the drivetrain strain should be pretty balanced among all assemblies. I am sure a powerbrake would toast the axle shafts though... All that truck needs is a 14 bolt, TH400, and some HD axle shafts up front and it's good to go for moderate abuse.
