How about custom horn buttons?
Does someone make a decent setup to turn cigarette lighter to USB charger? If not, that would be great.

Re: Parts you wish existed for the 67-72 C10?

I would like a remote windshield washer bottle that would fit where the gas tank used to be, that the old gas tank filler neck would attach to. Then I wouldn't have to weld over the hole.

Thumbs up Re: Parts you wish existed for the 67-72 C10?

Head light and washer switches and the round pieces that go with them.
Ac vent balls custom styles. Oh and the outside cowl vent bracket and arm.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

I second that one. You would have to print it around a steel core though so that would get really complicated.

Maybe 3-D print the mold for the 15" wheel. You could take the cracked up stock one apart and rework it to the 15" diameter then re-cast it in the 15" mold.

Soo... anything to contribute?

I would think some mock emblems would be cool. Maybe scaled up or down, different colors, to be used for shelf/wall art, gifts, etc. or how about a scaled model of your actual truck?

Re: Parts you wish existed for the 67-72 C10?

How about the air diverter door inside the A/C system air selector duct assembly.

Right now you have to buy the whole assembly to replace just the cracked plastic air diverter door inside the assembly.

I haven't been able to find a used one that isn't cracked.

I have resorted to fabricating one from metal because I refuse to spend $100 on a new assembly, even if I take all day making one out of metal. I am a trained machinist and certified journeyman metal fabricator so it could take me more than a day to make that POS

Got the old one all measured out and put into AutoCAD. Just need to start building it.

Tool & stowage door. Years ago a guy reproduced them in fiberglass or plastic. Exact replica in a never rust material. They were inner/outer bonded. If printing the pieces is too expensive maybe just the mold to make as the earlier reproductions were

I would like a beverage holder for my engine. Mount it on the driver side inner fender and hold 2 quart bottles of oil and 1 quart of Lucas upper cylinder lubricant fuel treatment.

A simplified version of this frame brace that still uses the original trailing arm crossmember.

I would love a set of these 8 track tape holders but with gm on them instead of a bowtie. I have a hard time putting a bowtie in my gmc. I would probably be the only taker for them though lol.

I would assume that LMC and the like already make the headlight switch knobs and the round pieces, but maybe I'm mistaken.

Restomod air makes some wicked billet custom vent ball styles, though they're very expensive. Perhaps an opportunity to have some custom styles but in plastic instead.

Ty for the input.

This would be a tougher one to prototype via 3d printing, as the printer would have to be very large. The one I'm aiming maxes at 13.5". There are others in the same price range that print larger, but you give up dual extrusion, which might come in handy for more complex builds that require special support materials.

I'm sorry, I thought I pissed in my own cheerios this morning, but I must have missed and hit yours.

I said C10 because I have one in the garage that I can work hands-on with. Technically I should have said, "parts you wish existed for the 72 C10" because depending on the part it may fit a more limited range than 67-72. Failing to recognize nuances is why you end up with eBay ads listing body panels for all 5 years, when they may only fit a few. Much of what I end up making may fit a broader range (C20, 4wd models, years outside of 67-72), but I'm starting with what I have physically here that I can test-fit items on.

If you want to participate, great, I welcome the input. If not, kindly please go lecture the kids on your grass or the clouds blocking your sun.
