New To Trucks

I was looking for a cool work wagon, and bought a 62 C20... Hasnt arrived down here yet (NZ), but my plan is to put an LS3 and 6L80 trans in it (have these bits). Apart from that I intend to keep it stock looking, ride height and wheels etc...
I will be asking a lot of potentially dumb questions so get ready !
