Since buying our '05 last December I have removed the third row seats. Very seldom have used them and use the added cargo room more often. Have the seats sitting in my 35 x 50 retirement playhouse. When they were removed they were removed in the folded position which is how they remain. I would like to temporarily mount them to a raised rolling platform for use as seats in the shop. Can't seem to get them to un-fold from their present folded condition. What's the secret? Seems pulling on the lever to raise them does nothing at all.

Anybody know how to un-fold 3rd row seat after it's removed from the floor mounting? Want to use these for shop seats but can't get them open up to normal sitting position.

The seat has to be in the truck and latched in to unfold. There is a way to manipulate the mechanism but it would be difficult for me to try and even explain it. Here is a video of a 2007-2014 Tahoe seat unfolding. The manipulation he’s doing is what you’ll have to do.
