1970 k20 different emblems

I bought a 1970 K20 long bed. On the passenger side front fender it has a "c/20" emblem with the 8 350 under it and on the driver side it has a "custom/10" emblem with the 8 350 under it. The emblems look original and the holes don't look new or redrilled on either side. Any thoughts? Also found it had two fuel tanks

My guess is someone swapped a fender. PO could have put the custom/10 emblem on the original fender, but why?

It's one or the other and one fender isn't original. C/20 came on base level trim and Custom/20 was mid-level in '70. The Custom would have stainless window trim, cloth seat inserts, vinyl scroll door panels, and have Custom emblem on the glovebox.

should have C/20, Custom/20, or CST/20 (trim level-dependent) with the engine emblem under it (if a 350) and a 4 wheel drive emblem below the marker lamp. Can you confirm you have 8 lug wheels (and does you're VIN start with "KE2") and a 350 engine option on your SPID?

Mine has: "CustomCamper/20 with the 8 [350] under it. It has "4 Wheel Drive" badge under the side running lights.

I have a 70 K20. I'm guessing most of the 3/4 ton 4wd were custom campers.

Not at all - the vast majority of K20s (and C20s) were not Custom Campers. But if Z81 RPO was ordered, the badge indeed superseded the trim level badge (C/Custom/CST-20) for 65-71 C20s and 67-71 K 20s - as is the case for yours. Nice looking truck btw!. The 72 had a separate script. 65 was a one-year-only badge for the C20 only, 66-68 had the same rectangular Custom Camper Nameplate (C only in 66, C and K 67-68), and the 69-71 C or K 20 with Z81 ordered had one like yours.

Interesting, badge analysis is confusing, thanks for the info. It definitely makes me pay better attention when I'm looking at theses trucks. I am tuning in better to options and badging. But, I always thought it was strange that the badge was listed with options on my sticker. Here's the sticker with the Z81. And thanks for the compliments, but I'll be honest... photos hide a lot of sins! Fun truck, love it!

Nice SPID, would like to see some interior shots or if you could direct me to some in an existing thread, that'd be great. Like white with gold a lot.

I'd venture to guess the passenger fender was replaced by a previous owner. The battery has a tendancy to rot the lowers of the inner and outer fenders.

I don't have any original pics of the interior. I recently changed all the saddle in the interior to black. So the interior was originally saddle and DK Gold. What was saddle: things like dash pad, visors, seat belts, air vent collars... ect. I have some pics of the truck before I painted it white, way back in the 8Os the first time I owned it. When I got it back a few years ago the interior was still saddle and white.

Something funny is when I first got the truck back a few years ago I kept thinking there was a lot of rust spots. No, it's the old DK Gold showing through the chips and nicks in the white. I'm tempted to try to remove the white and get back the original paint, but that's a bridge too far probably.
