No custom camper cst here but really like the looks of your truck. I have a 67 GMC 3/4 ton custom and was wondering what size wheels and tires you have. I am looking to get some for mine and yours has the look I am going for.

Re: $50 dollar reward find another 67 custom camper cst

rstewart I like your truck...My wheels are 16...back are 285 r 60 bf goodrich (low geared rear end needed as much height as possible)...front are 265 r 60...the back are tallest I could get in this raised white lettering style...without going to an agressive tread design...wheel are ford basic steel rims painted to match the truck...centers are new made for 90's chevy truck...they also come in GMC and can be bought new...each rim is double lug nutted because it was needed to mount the centers...also had to machine the lug nut (new) still to make them work...they did not make a rally wheel for an eight bolt and I wanted the rally look...trim rings are s.s. and are easy to aquire...now I must tell u it was alot of work to make these but I think they look better then chromes or alum...If u are still interested in making them I'll help...I have some lug nuts still that might work and if yours is six bolt or five it still can be done...would love to help out...feel free to pm me

Re: $50 dollar reward find another 67 custom camper cst

lmao but seriously I'll pay if someone can truly produce the goods...I challenge u guys I don't think it can be done...the only other one I have seen is in a book...can't get absolute production numbers on custom camper cst 3/4 ton 327 in 67...tried that gm wasn't any help...doing the math with what production numbers I have it maybe as few as 97...there wasn't all that many c20's made...and fleetsides even less...I truly lucked out when I found this truck...previous owner didn't know what he had...I didn't know how rare it was until I started seaching for info...damn 50 bucks is a bargain for reliable info...

I may know where a 67 long bed cst camper special is but for some reason I thought it was a 1/2 ton!

Re: $50 dollar reward find another 67 custom camper cst

Its not a CST,
but if this guy on Ebay is telling the truth, that he has the one and only factory built 1967 C/20 test mule for a 3 door crew cab, one of only one is pretty rare.

burb71, That truck looks interesting but no telling if what he says is true. How many times have you heard those stories about "special one-off GM test vehicles?" It would be fun to have a board member in AZ look that one over! This guy thinks he is sitting on a "pot of gold" but I think the first word is the operative one here. Rare and desireable are not necessarily the same thing! It sure would be nice to have someone look this over though!

Re: $50 dollar reward find another 67 custom camper cst

I must agree with stllookn...getting the exact facts for 67 actually is an effort in futility...I know thats why I started this thread searching for true answers...The facts on My truck are as rare as it is...thats why I say possibly 97 made...this is a best guess...so I journey into seeing if I can find another...the fact are it is original except the step and it came with 5.13 rear...which I will aquire in case I sell it...I think I'm going to be burried in it...though....No I won't tell u where lol...all the numbers match...I've seen alot of bs though...I looked at hemmings the other day and they wanted 19000 for what they said was a 69 original...to bad it had a 67 front clip on it...it pissed me off...just tell it like it is...I know Mine is very rare and if that one is worth 19 mine is worth 30...but stllookn is also right rare does not mean desirable...But Mine is both so nineteen grand u can kiss this

Re: $50 dollar reward find another 67 custom camper cst

I've exchainged e-mails with the e-bay guy, and he is an idiot. He has told me, and another guy, that there is no option sheet.

Plus, there are problems with his story IMO. I think he was fed a line of bull when he bought the truck, and is taking it for fact... like the 'rare 3 door burb' you always ee on e-bay.
I don't surf e-bay a whole lot, but, is this odd that the same guy upped it from 100 bucks, to 3000? It doesn't show whom he was in a bidding war with.

Re: $50 dollar reward find another 67 custom camper cst

409...I've got two '68 Custom Camper CST's and they are both 50th Anniversary Longhorns to boot...LOL! My son thinks it was bad enough that I bought one "ugly" truck...then I had to go out and buy another one that looks just like it...LOL!

barepaint, Looking at your truck makes me a little sad that I parted my '67 CST that was the same two tone as yours. Very nice truck! Recently I have seen some '67 3/4 tons on craigslist but did not check to see if they were CST models. I will check.

HEY...advertise that will buy one for $20,000 providing it is in the right condition. Problem is you will swamped with calls from every clown that owns a truck...but maybe there will be another '67 CC CST in there!

I had a 67 custome camper. Dismantled it, total rust bucket. Not sure what the original engine was, but she had a 350/400 combo. Still have the glovebox, so Ill take some shots..... Maybe I shouldn't have tore her up.

On that prototype crewcab, someone ask for more pictures of the interior and places that prove it`s not a graft.Make sure to indicate you`re not out to prove him wrong, just need proof of his claim.
Now,on the`67 CST/20 CustomCamper subject...I wonder how many K/20s there were made.

Re: $50 dollar reward find another 67 custom camper cst

There is a truck I checked out for parts near here that was a 67 custom camper 3/4 ton, might still be there, but I don't know if it was a CST. I can check it out if you want. 20 minute drive from here.

Green Machine and wibilly check them out close...The 68 had side marker lights...also cst badges in 67 are chrome red and blue check out the pics...if there there pick the up I'll buy them if there in good shape they do not repro. 67...68 is different color they do repro them Manes has them I know...gold badges are not cst truck badges for 67...I may be wrong but gold was suburban or blazer if they made cst's not sure help me out here?

Re: $50 dollar reward find another 67 custom camper cst

One thing I do remember is that the horn cap was different, it had some clear plastic with writing underneath, kind of fancy, and it was a 67 because I remember one front fender was replaced with a 68, had only one marker light on that corner. Might be a few days before we get over there. I almost bought it for a parts truck last year, it originally had a 327 4 bbl, owner said it was replaced with a 350. It did have a turbo 400 trans.
