$600.00 1972 Longbed

Well today I am buying a expensive 5 lug conversion. It has good running 350 and 350 turbo tranny. Tons of good parts to help with my 70 stepside build...
He has new grille etc... The parts alone make this a good deal... I also get disc brakes along with the 5 lug conversion.

Re: $600.00 1972 Longbed

is it an honest vette motor, or is someone just saying it is?
If you are carefull, and install your old parts on the parts truck, you may still have a running junker to sel after you are done with it.
Either way, that's a helluva score. That would be a $2500 truck here... MINIMUM. Certinaly not a parts truck.

Re: $600.00 1972 Longbed

I have not verified the engine yet but this what the seller told me and I have no reason not to trust him up to this point. Here are some pictures. I have to get her off the trailer today. I was too tired last night so I thought safety first, do it in the morning...

Re: $600.00 1972 Longbed

Yes I had to move pretty quick on this one.... Lots of people calling him but nobody pulled out the cash. Another guy actually showed up and tried to start a bidding war but the guy honored our conversation on the phone...

Post the numbers and letters that are located just forward of the passenger side cylinder head on the top of the block. If there are a series of 3 letters there beginning with C such as, CLA, CKZ, etc. it may be a vette block.

Re: $600.00 1972 Longbed

I will post them hopefully at lunchtime, it is dark out right now... I hope I have some time off to swap the engine into my truck in the next coming weeks. I plan to swap to swap my intake in place of the stock aluminum intake...
